The beginning

DarkRise was created by four musicians coming from Lausanne and its outskirts (Switzerland) in 1998. After one year and a half of work : composition, practice of the stage, use of their music instruments, they decided to register their first demo. Slave Of Death come out in may 2000, thanks to that the group hat the opportunity to play in concerts sharing the stage with Fleshcrawl and Yattering. They stopped these series because of the eviction of the Drummer whose lock ol motivation was bad for their group. Note that 500 records of Slave Of Death had been sold at that day.

Slack period

Because of their civil and professional obligations the group began to compose again later in the beginning of 2002, with the help of a new member : Steeve. During this year 2002 DarkRise played only four live performances. In the first quarter of year 2003 the new drummer left the group just 3 weeks before the studio recording of their first album Massive Retaliation. A real Death Metal Album. This album will come out only one year later at the great surprise of the group and for unknown reasons. It come out by Deadsun Records. In fact surely because of the absence of the drummer very few concerts come with this new album.

More mature

In October 2004 DarkRise headhunted a new drummer called Antoine. And in 2005 after its first concerts abroad the group registered its second album during the summer. Unbeliever come out by Deadsun Records in April 2006, followed by an european tour with Impaled Nazarene. They played in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain and Switzerland. Thanks to this tour DarkRise makes great progress and becomes more professional. The group have more connections all over Europe (Specially in France). At the end of 2006 and during the year 2007 DarkRise plays in concert in France, Belgium and Italy. They try to go on with a new tour but their two new european tours will be cancelled.

New beginnings

In October 2007, DarkRise encounter some problems since, for various reasons, Nico and Antoine left the band. But two of the original members (Luc and Wil) decided to continue DarkRise and start looking for new musicians. After a few months, the group found a good line-up with: Nicolas, a promising young guitarist and Guido, a drummer and rapid technique. These new arrivals herald new musical of the most promising prospects. Indeed, the new look and the excellent technical level of the new line up will allow DarkRise achieve a level of quality, especially in rhythmic and melodic, very interesting.

Built

The year 2008 is mainly devoted to preparing a third album. With this album called "Built" DarkRise wants a new level and will make every effort to release a CD of the highest quality possible. In October 2008, DarkRise recorded 10 titles in the famous and renamed Hertz Studio in Poland. A very rewarding experience which confirms the choice of studio and investment group for the sound of "Built" is simply enormous. With a power and remarkable accuracy, it showcases compositions with varied tempos and whose strengths are: the original and fast rhythmic, the bass parts "slap" very groovy, the incredible guitar solos technical and melodic and finally a powerful voice. Finally, the beautiful cover was done by Niklas Sundin who is also known as the guitarist of Dark Tranquillity.

As you can see DarkRise surrounded himself with extremely competent people to carry out his album "Built," which shows all the motivation of the band. Work that will be rewarded with a signature on the French label Great Dane Records. The album is released in October 2009. Excellents reviews from all over Europe will be spent. "Built" is very well received and won a pretty popular with journalists, musicians and fans.

In 2010, DarkRise stopped its collaboration with Guido who has officiated as a session musician. His replacement is simply his predecessor Antoine. Another new member of the group incorporates in the person of Greg: a singer with a big stage presence and a guttural voice to vary more acute with the voice of Luc. The first concerts with this line-up confirm the good reception of "Built". DarkRise happens to recreate the power and precision of the album and the public appreciates the band's live performances. 2010 is devoted to a maximum of concerts to publicize the name of DarkRise wherever opportunities arise. Note the beginning of our collaboration with Vincent Devaud of The Best Of Underground in terms of booking in Switzerland and also for tours.

2011

The year started strong as DarkRise will tour throughout Europe for one month in very good company. Indeed, the group will have the honor to be on tour with Zonaria, the German Trashers Dew-Scented, surprising Melechesh and especially the leaders of the current scene Death Metal: Nile. This tour is organized by Massive Music, a Polish tour manager who is one of the largest in Europe for extreme metal. This very rewarding experience both musically humanly DarkRise will allow this awareness across Europe. Comments on our live performances will be positive. Just back from touring the band began work on a new album. Hertz studio has been booked for February 2012…
