Line-up

The beginning

DarkRise was created by four musicians coming from Lausanne and its outskirts (Switzerland) in 1998. After one year and a half of work : composition, practice of the stage, use of their music instruments, they decided to register their first demo. Slave Of Death come out in may 2000, thanks to that the group hat the opportunity to play in concerts sharing the stage with Fleshcrawl and Yattering. They stopped these series because of the eviction of the Drummer whose lock ol motivation was bad for their group. Note that 500 records of Slave Of Death had been sold at that day.

Slack period

Because of their civil and professional obligations the group began to compose again later in the beginning of 2002, with the help of a new member : Steeve. During this year 2002 DarkRise played only four live performances. In the first quarter of year 2003 the new drummer left the group just 3 weeks before the studio recording of their first album Massive Retaliation. A real Death Metal Album. This album will come out only one year later at the great surprise of the group and for unknown reasons. It come out by Deadsun Records. In fact surely because of the absence of the drummer very few concerts come with this new album.

More mature

In October 2004 DarkRise headhunted a new drummer called Antoine. And in 2005 after its first concerts abroad the group registered its second album during the summer. Unbeliever come out by Deadsun Records in April 2006, followed by an european tour with Impaled Nazarene. They played in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain and Switzerland. Thanks to this tour DarkRise makes great progress and becomes more professional. The group have more connections all over Europe (Specially in France). At the end of 2006 and during the year 2007 DarkRise plays in concert in France, Belgium and Italy. They try to go on with a new tour but their two new european tours will be cancelled.

Now adays

In October 2007 DarkRise has some problems with the departure of Nico and Antoine. But two of the first members of DarkRise (Luc and Wil) decide to go on with their group and look for two new musicians. After some months the group is well on with a good line up : Nicolas (a young solo promising guitarist) and Guido (an incredible drummer very technical and fast).

So in 2008 DarkRise worked on a new album called “Built”. A 10 songs album well written and arranged with various compositions and different tempos so that the auditors are always captivated and surprised. The strong points of DarkRise’s music are: sickening drums parts, amazing bass slap, technical and melodic guitar solos, powerful and hateful voices.

The enormous sound was recorded in the Hertz Studio in Poland (October 2008). Its competences and professionalism are no longer questioned. These are the reasons why we choose this studio to record, mix and master "Built". The great cover illustration was made by Niklas sundin who is also known as the guitarist of Dark Tranquility.

As you can see, DarkRise worked with extremely competent people to realize our project. It can show all the motivation and serious of the band. A work that is reward by a deal with the French label Great Dane Records. “Built” will be released the 20th September 2009… So keep in touch!!!
